The Sangue e Latte wood I got was from Italy, and it took off identically to when the donor tree did over there. I look forward to seeing how it grows this season.

Hey hey,

Been really keen on trying this fruit before potentially attempting to grow it. If anyone is growing the fruit or can point me in a specific direction, would love to buy a small sample amount!

There are some retailed fruit growers who have it, but they don't ship to california.

I'm not sure what C-35 leaves look like, maybe someone else can answer that. But it's definitely either trifoliate or some trifoliate hybrid like citrange (C-35, Carrizo, etc), and Eureka is incompatible with most of those. Did you happen to save the original nursery tags or photograph them? The rootstock is sometimes coded on them (e.g., if it has CZO in the code then that's Carrizo).

Have you found a good low elevation  variety of Cholul for  below 800 ft in Hawaii?

Green sapote are very nice. We have Poamoho and Makawao ( Hawaiian selections). Finer texture than mamey, easier to ascertain ripeness as their skin turns orange. For us they start in January and we still have some on our big old tree. Unfortunately at low elevation here the texture is poor when the fruit is allowed to get fully orange on the tree so these late fruits are not so good to eat. But yes, put green sapote in for Jan-Feb. add Lara and Jamaica and we’re good for year round fruits. Thanks!

Took me a while to watch, due to pausing a lot, as didn't want to miss a moment. Great video eyeckr, and your greenhouse is magnificent Brian! Interesting, Sangue e Latte grafts seem normal in Italy and in the rest of the Mediterranean, it's also a strong grower as a rootstock.

Kaz, how does Dmor9 compare to Red Himalayan please?
