Containers just everywhere smaller ones nestled in-between larger ones to create micro climates. Are you growing Myrica rubra? Would love to see it. Btw, is the Yacon sprouting for you yet? Would love to see the other areas of the garden.Have some Myrica rubra seeds planted, none sprouted yet!The yacon u gave me is sprouted! It was tasty, I chewed a bit off before planting bulbs..very sweet. My favorite is the acacia...I only have about 2 of 15 seeds sprouted! and may want more someday! I should have scarified them I guess....I hear acacia does from cutting, so I may have to do a bunch of cuttings! Thanks Nullzero! and thanks to all others who have posted such kind comments! Part 2 will be posted here, and is coming soon.

Quote from: Felipe on March 15, 2012, 08:27:57 PMAdam, thanks for the pictures, not for the vid, I don't like Lady Gaga...I have one question: You complain about the city water, but, don't you have the possibility of collecting rainwater in your yard?that wasn't lady gaga! I don't like her either...that was debbie boone. She's horrible, but I do love u guys for caring about what I care about...rare fruit trees! The problem with rain water, is you must first have rain! We don't have enough rain to quench my plants thirst (in my Nick Nolte section of garden...heavy drinkers )Well water would be nice, but I rent and will have to put out 200 or more to get well going ...but I may sneak a well in...small one...Its best option for me..growing all these stupid sensitive myrtaceae. truniclfora, dubia, auraeana, phitrantha, to say the least.

Provides plenty of crunchy texture and sweetness. Similar to jicama, but better in my opinion. Slices also great in sandwiches or anything else you're eating.Oscar
What about a water filtration system? Is alkalinity the main problem? If so i've heard that adding vinegar to the water will acidify it .Oscar
Yep! near Orlando! Thanks for giving me hope to carry on!It feels like I'm in South America here in Central FL...Good thing, because I can't afford to travel there...I can just grow a slice of South Am. right here!
Not too many fruits, especially interesting fruits, native to USA. So either you grown the South American, Central American, or Mexican goodies or the Asian goodies. One very interesting and tasty exception is the Paw paw.Oscar

Some very nice selections are being grown along the canals in Davie, my home town. I would have expected better from you, Oscar!
I'm not sure if they use the sabarah, or the Red jabo, but I know if you eat a sabarah jabo early, its like eating a sapodilla early...no fun!
Quote from: nullzero on March 27, 2012, 12:36:54 PMVery impressive amount of older trees. Growing any persimmons Adam? Btw, are you using any superoot type containers?I don't grow persimmon, partly because they do so well in ground, that many of my friends already have the best trees...so I can eat all I want when they have them! But it will perform well in a container if given enough root space, and kept happy at a young age.No, I can't afford fancy pots, so I buy them used, or get hand me downs
