Honey Jack?
« on: August 13, 2012, 01:37:49 PM »
A friend of mine brought me an interesting book the other day, entitled, "1001 things you must eat" or something like that. There was an entire section on Fruits, and specifically I read about the "Honey Jack". It was described as being the best Jackfruit all around. Has anybody heard of this? Is their another name? Living in South Florida, I am very curious about this..

I have heard of Honey Gold.  It is listed for sale by Brooks Tropical Nursery.

Honey gold is an australian jackfruit that is pretty good and can be seen on the list in the link.

Confusingly honey gold is also a KP derived mango.

Golden nugget and golden pillow are australian and thai jacks and Honey jack is an old high quality sri lankan type.
