I saw this tree at a house today. It looked like a magnolia tree. But it has these pods.

I just did some googling. I guess all magnolia trees have these kind of pods. I guess they are just seed pods, and later on my Alexander Magnolia tree will have these seed pods also. Learn something new everyday.
