Pancrazio, thanks for bringing that mandarin to our attention. I've heard of the mandarin, but knew little about it. It really is a late maturing mandarin, available from March all the way into July. It is amazing that the Encore Mandarin can be left hanging on the tree into late August early September without losing much flavor plus not becoming puffy. Most mandarins puff up if not picked soon after maturity. The UCR Variety collection, says the flavor is good even when held on the tree for an extended time.. I might have to try that one.- Millet
