Does anyone know what might be wrong with it?

Your tree has a spider mite invasion. Give the tree two or three THOROUGH washings with the hose. Or you can spray with a horticultural oil, or neem oil.. What ever you use be sure to get the top and bottom of the foliage. Notice all the white speckled spots on the leaves,. These are caused by the mite sucking the leaf juices out, which leaves the speckling. Good luck to you and your tree.

ty i appreciate the help. will try to use oil i suppose since hosing it isnt an option.
-
hosing with water is indeed an option, as written above.
-
i meant in my case i cant because its on the balcony of my apartment

Do you have a shower? Might be messy but should work.
-
maybe but i feel like the neem oil would be a lot easier. is washing better?
-
I would start by hosing it down, either in the shower or the kitchen sink. That works really well. Then take it back outside, let it dry a little and treat with neem oil.

I'm having the same problem on my fingerlime tree.
@Gogu if you read this, I am curious to know which steps you took and how well it went.
@Millet I was planning to spray neem oil on my tree. Should I spray pure oil, or should I dilude it?
-
Oliver, when it comes to neem, I have never used it. I much prefer to use horticultural oil. A neem oil user should soon see this post.

Does your place have big rain? Can use water wash it during the rain?
