Protecting hass avocado trees from cold south Louisiana?

I have some avocado trees i just put in the ground maybe 1-2 months ago. Whats the best way to protect them from cold weather?

Tent each tree with plastic and old school christmas lights inside or old school incadisent light bulbs also protect graft with straw burlap foam etc whatever it takes, watering ground before severe freeze snap can also help hopefully  you planted ones that are known to take cold better than average.

Thanks i have some really good plastic. Still trying to find the old Christmas lights we had growing up.
