This is a Li variety.. 3rd year in ground.. many fruits even from 1st year.. yeah there are still plenty of fruit that shrink and die.. I guess that's how it is.. the tree will know how much to keep and produce..

I water 4x (15 min) each but that's because most of my trees are on a slope.. I use the seaweed fish kelp fertilizer like Neptune Harvest and GroMore (organics).

Lots of tasty fruits soon too!!

Oh sorry.. just saw a message in my inbox and it was from you.. very sorry.. haha rarely do I get a message in there  :( I'll let you now how to send you one. Thank you.

My startfruit are the only ones having yellow leaves. This year, I did change my watering to a lot more (daily/two days, 15 minutes => daily 4x 15 minutes); it seems to have a much better effect on almost all of the plants, resulting in new leaves/fruits or having more fruits this year;

I planted these two starfruit this year (7 gallon Kari, 7 gallon Sri Kembangan); I read online that they love acid soil and may just need some soil acidifier, and the watering is just fine (since they are tropical, as you can tell from the pictures are growing many new leaves at the tips); It might be better having more "yellow" leaves, than fewer leaves (or browning ones) by not watering as much?;

Can someone please advise? Thank you;

Kari

Maybe it needs to hand pollinate like cherimoya or need super humid weather.. our weather is not humid enough?

This is my wax jambu 2nd year.. so keep working at it.. i think you just planted at the wrong time.. it was getting hit for about a week.. i learned that too last time.. we had the 104s in October a few years ago and half my new trees got burned..

Today or tomorrow is good to plant.. a bit cooler..

And who gets 104 and higher in October? I figured October would be good enough..

Hahahahaha ha hahahahaha !!!  >:( ;D :D :D ;D

Joking aside.. we all make mistakes.. my mistake was coming to this forum and listening to you guys and wanting to buy more fruit trees!

This is the flower and the forming fruit.. i have a few fruit developing now.. very exciting.. first time for me..

That's a good size for a "3 gallon" .. looks more like 7 gallon. :) but it's still pretty expensive.. total is about $134 from Plantogram.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.. good luck and hope you get fruit next year.. it might take at least 3 years but you never know..

gozp, thanks I already messaged her, but she doesn't have any right now;

Guayaba, thanks for the website.. I ordered something from them a few years back, and it was really small for a 3 gallon (especially for their price + shipping).. can you show me a picture that you have? How is your star apple doing? Maybe I should just buy some fruit from you instead  ;D

roblack, I never checked Mimosa or Champa.. one of them is in El Monte I believe.. so it's close by.. thanks for the info.

Haha got only one fruit.. but even last year had plenty of flowers.. this is 2nd year in ground.. i think it is because we got some more rain here in Sothetn CA this year so it was more humid?

25
my first one too.. here you go, Samu.. oh, you live in Tustin.. much closer to the ocean.. I think the humidity has something to help it flower/fruit too.. good luck =)

 wow JF, look at all the fruit =) I hope to get even half of that and I'll be happy.. you must live closer to the ocean than me it seems like (last time you said Orange County).. does the distance to the sea really make a difference?? I'm about 30-40 miles inland.. I believe.. Hacienda Heights.. I'm trying all the time now to water the trees (especially too with the rain we got this year)... can I buy some fruit from you? How much would you charge? Thanks.
