Scarlet Jaboticaba is easily the most precocious plinia I have found fruiting from seed reliably in about 3 years. The fruits are like a slightly sweeter red jaboticaba. They are pretty tasty as earlier stages of ripeness, however the skin doesn't thin entirely until they are fully ripe. Seeds are $5 per seed with $5 Shipping inside of the US. 5 Seed minimum. I will be sending out seeds starting next Monday October 1st. PM with orders.

Escarlate and Scarlet are the same varieties?

Escarlate and Scarlet are the same varieties?
Yes, it's the same word in different languages so to avoid confusion I put both. I don't want anyone to accidentally collect the same variety a second time unless they are looking to add more of the same variety.

There is another crop on the way! PM if interested in seeds!

Sorry for reviving an old topic. What is the difference between this and the precoce red hybrid jaboticaba?

My big ones are almost in continuous fruiting mode and they have big nice fruit. I would say grimal and scarlets are real jaboticaba champs. I am yet to be convinced they are a hybrid and almost seem part of an aureana/phitranthra continuum. I say rush out and get this variety because they are darn good.
