Where to buy Cherimoya tree in Santa Barbara area/what type should I get?

I'd like to get a backyard tree for my parents and was looking for nursery recommendations. I'm also curious for breed suggestions - preferably something easy to maintain and self fertile (not sure if there are any non self fertile ones, but just in case there are ala paw paw or dragonfruit). I had Fino De Jete in Andalusia and loved it, but that's the only labeled breed I've eaten. I know next to nothing about this and my parents even less, so I appreciate your advice. Thanks!

You'll have to hand-pollinate to get reliable fruit set.  There are videos on Youtube on the process.  It's simple.

You can try calling some nurseries to see if they have any trees in stock but at this time of year selection will probably not be that good and they may not have any trees.

Spring and early Summer would probably be better times.  Most nurseries cut back on stock in late summer thru winter.

You can grow seeds and they will make good fruit.  Or you can graft your own trees also.  Just a suggestion.  They are very easy trees to grow and santa barbra should be prime location for them.

Last month I saw many trees in HD and Lowe's. HD don't specify the variety. Lowe's has Dr White / Vietnamese variety.
