Not sure on the age of the plant to fruit....probably depends on the size of the rhizome.
Average size of fruit is the size of an open hand.
I don't even know the collection site.....i know that they have to travel a few hours to get there, there are numerous plants in that area growing close together probably rhizome of shoots. Move a few metres from the area and nothing...no further plants. I am actually quite amazed at this species rarity, the distribution areas are very small.
This season fruiting apparently had a very small number of seeds per fruit to normal...more flesh and pulp.
