Yes, a mug or glass is totally futuristic.
Do we really need a video to know how to eat a mango?
Peeling takes too long and gets mango stuff all over your handsI usually fillet a mango as close to the seed as possible. Like filleting a fish close to bone as possible. Then eat flesh around the seedThen scoop out the two halves with a large spoon. I like round soup spoons the bestThen scrape the skin of each half clean to get the flesh remaining on it...which sometimes tastes different than the fleshAfter eating wash hands and face clean of the inevitable mango juice
ZANDS: This "glass" method is very similar to your spoon method. You cut the mango in fillets, close to the seed. Then you use the glass to scoop out the pulp. The glass catches the juices. I tried it on a very ripe Glenn and Edwards mango today and it worked great. The glass method yields larges pieces of mango, but probably only works on very ripe (soft) and fiberless mangos.
