lmao - how did I skew the voting?  And who did you vote for if I influenced you?
Cuz my vote went to JC ;D
You skewed cause I would have voted for yours...therefore I had to vote for the runner up photo.  Just giving you a hard time...would have really been screwed up had you won your own contect.

What's a contect?

:P  Just messing with you.  ;)

For those who haven't voted, PLEASE help our entrants by casting yours.  It should only take a few seconds.  Hard to believe we've only gotten 28 votes from 21 entries out of 500+ members, provided there are lots of inactive members, there should be plenty more to determine this.

Tim, if I may, I suggest you put this thread at the top of the list all the time if this could be done. This way people will always see the thread and might be tempted to vote. Or make it a sticky with bold letters.

I submitted but didn't vote as I don't trust myself  :)

I'm curious is there some way to see where the vote tally is at?
What's that got to do with Jose Andres $10 brussel sprouts?

You should have kept it like that to keep the suspense. In any case: WOOT! I got two votes!

I am not sure if Tomas can even get the tree in FL. May be illegal to mail a mango tree into FL.

If Tomas can't receive the tree bare root, I'd be surprised.

If Tim can't legally send the tree, maybe he can auction the tree off here on the forum (for sale), and then give most of the proceeds to Tomas?

That reminds me, I wonder if you could have some auctions, or separate section for auctions on this site??  maybe keep a small portion of the sale to help keep your bills paid, and keep this wonderful forum going strong!

I can understand if these ideas won't work...it's always easier said than done!

Adam,
We've actually been planning an auction for the past few months but like everything else we just never get to it.

Excalibur has been kind enough to donate an Excalibur Red jackfruit to the forum for us to auction to help cover the costs of the forum. Hopefully in the next few weeks I will post it.

how's the auction work?

if you set up the terms in the thread , and trust that the bidders will pay, it should be easy.

just have a deadline for the bidding to end.

would it be a bad idea if I tried to auction a plant as a test run??

or maybe someone else can?

I hope it works out well, and you turn into the tropical fruit eBay.
