Im the breeder of the annona squamosa sugar apple 'isan indigo'... no budwood or scions of that variety has been released to the public yet. What you have possibly are seedlings from the "isan indigo' and scions from your seedling.

What are you saying? My seedlings I raised from the seeds you sold me that you
claimed you raised from seeds you smuggled back from Thailand aren't authentic?

Does the Thai giant not typically come up any good from seed?

Interested in those and Thai dwarf mulberry.

I saw 2 seedling jujubes and they were thorny and the fruit
was smaller. If you grow up my seeds I can provide scions later.

My Thai dwarf is loaded with fruit and I wanted to eat the fruit
before I sell the cuttings. Its the first mulberry to have ripe fruit again and
I don't have much ripe in my yard now, I just have to beat the woodpeckers
to the fruit

I'm interested in the Thai Giant Jujube   seeds. Do you have picture of the fruits? Are they the same as Taiwan giant jujube?

It is the same as the Taiwan giant jujube. The fruit is past ripe and turned orange
and I can't take an accurate photo. It doesn't grow true from seed. My brother had
2 seedlings and the trees were very thorny and the fruit was small.
I still ate hundreds each year before I got my current trees. I have 2 trees and this
past year I ate at least 500 since Xmas and I gave away hundreds and I didn't eat
25% of the fruit. I did take a bagful to the local garden club last month and everyone
enjoyed it. No One knew what it was

Come on now, you know as well as anyone here that seedlings are not always true to type, and selling budwood of a known variety and budwood of a seedling of a known variety aren't the same thing. You should edit the original post to reflect that so folks are 100% clear that they're not getting vegetatively propagated Issan Indigo. An apology for going off on that "not authentic" tangent is also in order in my book.

Why didn't you open your big mouth when your buddy sold me the seeds 2 years ago
and called them Isan Indigo seeds? Please don't highjack my thread. Your buddy has
started a thread you can bash me on there. I am not trying to rip anyone off or mislead
anyone. I paid allot of money for his seeds and if I remember I was charged $6 for shipping
and they were shipped in an envelope for 50 cents. The seeds squeezed out in the postage
and when I sent an email, I was told I was wrong that he packed them himself. Meanwhile
10 other people already had the same thing happen. I have grown 25 sugar apples from seed and
they all grew true so far. There are allot more questionable plants being sold on this forum
why is this an issue? Why didn't you complain about the Na Dai Scions I listed? He sold me
Isan Indigo seeds what do you want me to call them? My trees had 3 small fruit after a year and
a half maybe my tree is better then his? It took him 2 1/2 years for his to fruit. You want me to
call it Improved Isan Indigo? I am definitely not trying to mislead anyone. I am lucky I don't
do this for a living but this petty greed is pathetic. How long does this guy get an exclusive?
If my trees fruit this year I am going to give the seeds away to anyone who wants to wait.
He grew his original trees from seeds?

His plant was grown from seed, but it doesn't sound like the parent tree in Isan was called Isan Indigo. Maybe the one he selected and named Isan Indigo really is better than its siblings/children, maybe it isn't. You could just sell them as Isan Purple seeds.

Luke planted out a bunch of purple sugar apple seeds from the same fruit a while back, and one of those seedlings was spectacularly more productive than the rest. He named that one Issan Indigo. He sold seeds from that tree because folks were interested. There was nothing to open my "big mouth" about, because literally nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Everyone buying seeds knew exactly what they were getting.

You are selling Issan Indigo seedling budwood, not legit 100% vegetatively cloned Issan Indigo. You choosing to call your budwood Issan Indigo is worth opening my big mouth over, since folks will not know exactly what they are getting. Your seedling may be very similar, but given that the sibling trees Luke has are very different from one another, there's a good chance your seedling may also be different. It is frankly embarrassing this needs explained.

I received many scions from Mike, all scions were wrapped well and they arrived in less than 2 days of shipping. I am very grateful i could get scions of rare varieties of longans and atemoyas and sugar apples(at least rare for me as no one here is selling those except mango scions that are readily available)...i care less if the purple sugar apple scions are from seedling of the mother plant or seedling of the seedling of the mother plant, just happy receiving new varieties and learning to graft them. thanks Mike for providing the scions. If i was to bring a rare fruit variety from India and was so happy with its taste and appearance and wanted to share it with all fruit growers i would actually provide it to nurseries that can propagate in large numbers like fruitscapes or Zills, that would ensure that all fruit enthusiasts would get the grafted one in 2-3 yrs rather than sell seeds every year and wait to  patent and sell my own grafts in many years. But this is just My opinion.

Satya
