MorBloom on mangos
« on: January 06, 2019, 04:29:50 PM »
I purchased ALaska brand Morbloom 0-10-10 for some of my berry shrubs but couldn't resist using on a few of my fruit trees. It calls for a table spoon or 2 per gallon pending on the vegetable or bush but has no info for fruit tees.

I dumped almost a cup of it per 5 gallon bucket and dumped a full bucket each on 2 mango trees and a 30 gallon potted lychee. I did this about a 3-4 weeks ago. Not sure if it is from the Morbloom or not but almost every branch on my mango tree has started to flower or has a swollen bud that looks to be a flower.

Nothing yet on the potted lychee.

Has anyone ever tried this on fruit trees. I could not find anything at all on google searches as it relates to using this on fruit trees. Could this be bad for the trees???

I have not used morbloom but 1 cup per 5 gallon sounds A little heavy. I usually go 2-3 tablespoons per 5 gallons of water when I fertilizer.

The trees are flowering in response to cold/dry weather in your area during December.

Thanks for the feed back, I figured the weather helped the bloom, my questioning was brought up because all but 2 branches flowered I cludi g interior branches and the ones in the shaded area as well. My other tress has 100% of the branches budding or flowered.
