I got around 15 from same seller and majority of them germinated.
Just don’t over water or give to much humidity.

Tropical fruit world always has heaps of green sapotes when in season. I usually pay around $4-5 per fruit when I go there.  Usually around 3 seeds in each fruit

3
How is everyone’s junglesops doing?
I have had a few that have been sending out shoots but seem to die back. Looks like they finally have enough energy to produce leaves after 8 months.

Wrap the base of the trunks with hessian and a sticky substance. Usually keeps there ants at bay.

R2E2 here in Australia look amazing but very bland taste. Probably only worth using as rootstock as I believe they are quite cold tolerant.

Sorry, forgot to put moist zip lock bag of coconut coir or peat moss

Garcinia intermedia seeds, I put in a slightly moist zip lock bag until good roots have formed then repot in any potting mix. They are really easy.
Haven’t germinated many myrciarias but chlorine is def a no no. I accidentally Watered a Camu Camu seedling with chlorine water and the sprout almost died. It’s slowly coming back.

Is this variety dioecious?

I just leave on the bench for a few hours until the gooey part dries slightly then scratch the whole membrane off around the seed. You need long nails to do 😄

Looks like some sort of aphid. I usually use neem oil on any aphids I find. Kills them within a week.

I purchased 10 junglesop seeds from them back in early June. I received around 20,and most of them had begun germinating. Prob around 5 had died.
I’m still happy with what I received. Mine were in small zip lock bags with slightly moist sawdust. I guess it’s it a bit of hit and miss with them.

One of my Quararibea Cordata seedlings popping through !
Easy to germinate. Let them sit in lukewarm water for 48 hours until seed crack from swelling then plant half of seed in potting mixture, half popping out. 😄

We had around -2.5 c in Canungra area during the cold snap. I have a 5m tall icecream bean tree that had around 80% of its leaves scorched. I only just moved to the area so haven’t planted any of my sun tropical trees yet luckily.
Will definitely be creating some micro climates for next year.
Would be good to hear how others have created micro climates in their areas. 😄

Rollinia germinate very easily, im sure you won’t have any trouble.
I usually put the seeds in a zip lock bag with lightly moistened coconut coir. 100 % germination every time.

I’m actually trying it for the first time myself. I used methylated spirits to dissolve the powder but it didn’t seem to dissolve. Hoping someone can help me out with what is best to use to dissolve Ga3 before adding distilled water.

Everyone seems to have success when using Ga3 within 2- 3 weeks.
