Picked the biggest jakfruit I ever grew,98 pounder had a split on it,I took up to mike walace (Pine islands botanicals) let him wrestle baby.Grafted tree from frankie's from kerala ,had the name atomic bomb no kidding that is the name.

Planted in 2005 ,even though it was grafted it was a good 10 years till fruiting.Taste is very very sweet, but not bubble gum flavor a lighter fruit flavor firm melting flesh,almost oily ,yellow color.
 I should of took the other fruit on the other side of the tree off,then it probably would have broke the 100lb mark.

I tried this particular fruit today Mike brought by a piece it was over mature the seed had sprouted which is not a good taste in jak.He said people were still buying cut pieces at market. He had one in a earlier stage maturity that was very good 84lbs.One jak left, still on the tree 50ish lbs the (runt) came on tree later.
