My Pakistani Mulberry tree is putting out a few berries right now ... I thought it was a springtime only bearer, so this was a nice surprise :)

They are really tasty. My favorite berry.

I love the Pakistani mulberry. Definitely one of my favorite berries. Any pics of the entire tree?

What is the cold tolerance of it? Is it like a standard mulberry- temperate?
I like mulberries and think they are way underrated, but the ones I encounter do have one serious flaw. They have an extremely poor shelf life.
I'm also surprised (given how poorly mulberries keep) that people can "make" decent dried mulberries. I had a whole bunch when I was in Turkey

Pakistani Mulberry are great
Good ones in Israel produce 3 crops per year, the only problem is that birds and bats are loving them covering the surrounding area with purple droppings
I believe they are quite hardy, much under freezing point, but do not know how they produce in cold climates, Think it is also referred to as Himalayan mulberry

My nephew's tree produced a few berries all summer, though a pair of blue jays made sure he didn't get to taste even one. And the tree has put out some new fruit now, like yours.

Thanks for the input everyone :)
Pic of the tree today

I have seen mulberry loaded with fruits in Austin, TX, USA where it really seemed to be at home, barely producing in Belize, producing moderately in Hawaii at 100' elevation, barely producing in Salalah, Oman.
Is there a type that would produce at least moderately in Belize?

Same here , poor production and the few fruits go to the birds and my workers , believe it or not I never had one of those 2" for myself.
Should i keep them dry and put a net over them ??

I grow this, but my tree is in total decline. It was originally an air layer from the tree at the Fruit and Spice Park. It was fruitful in my yard for the first 10 years or so and then slowly began to decline. Not sure why, but suspect my mucky wet soil has something to do with it. I think it has pretty good cold tolerance from what I understand. A while back, Murray Coreman stopped by my house having returned from Israel. In Israel he encountered absolutely huge mulberries of this type.
