I usually remove the tape after one or two growth flushes have hardened and I can see that the cuts have healed up. Looks like yours is ready for unwrapping. If cuts are not fully healed over after unwrapping, simply re wrap. Good luck!

If you think the grafting tape is choking the tree then remove it and re-wrap back again. On my grafting mango I thought it was ready for tape removal but after I did that  the next day I saw the white latex oozed out at the grafting union, and I re-wrapped it back. I think the wrapping tape will continue to support the union. I un-wrapped and re-wrapped once a month to make sure it doesn't choke the growing tree.

Looks like you have plenty of growth to remove it. Are you planning to remove one of those branches and tie the other up to make a central leader?

definitely can take it off now!  (I have removed the tape in less than 30 days for some grafts, but it's risky sometimes...the callused cambium just isn't strong enough)

lol, your tree looks really cool, i love the low and spreading canopy.

you could slap that baby on a fence and espalier it easily.
