In Florida they seem more cold tolerant then what I read.
A forum member in Lakeland had 25F one night his tree
survived unprotected. The drier CA air might be a factor?
The older bigger trees will obviuosly do better. I was 29F
one night last year and very windy and I didn't lose fruit
or have any issues. Most of my trees have several size fruits
on them now. They seem to be constanty flowering.
I have makok, morena, haysa, and 2 Silas wood and a seedling
