Anyone with knowledge of nhãn "bốn mùa" (four-season longan)? Supposedly it flowers and fruits year round. I found this on face book.
I knew the question about germination would come up sooner or later , so, just for fun , I soaked some of my own ( white pulp ) in about 300 pm Ga3 for 24 hours . Planted them on 9/17/17 germinated yesterday 9/29/17 ......That's 12 days guys ....no BS....
Have you actually seen these before in person? Have you tried them? Or are you just going off of the article?
Yes it is rare, in danger of extinction, who bought a good business, during the next few years, I will have many species of pouteria in frutificación, as far as possible I will share with the outside, many very rare still.
It will be nice to have many leaf and entire plant photos of well identified jaboticabas to compare with the non identified ones... I sent many messages to forum members, youtubers and other collectionists to do a proper database. We are working on it and I will receive soon many photos of a brazilian collector that has more than 20 rare species.
I chat through messenger with Abimael forum member from Puerto Rico son's he told me Abimael sent him to let me know they are fine but there is no light and water on the Island and the trees are alive but destroyed, this is a copy of original message :
Soy el hijo , mi padre me envío a decirle que estan bien el y su familia pero que estan incomunicados, sin luz y agua , el celular funciona en algunas areas pero como ahí escasez de gasolina, los arboles estan vivos pero destrozados.
Don't know about you folks but so far 2017 was not really a good fruiting year , actually very poor . Some trees didn't even flower at all . Others on the other side had unusual heavy crops . Did any of you experience the same ?
A friend nearby is a longtime acquaintance and customer of Sadhu in PR, a rare fruit collector probably well-known to most people on the forum here. He told me today he got word from Sadhu that his farm was destroyed and he doesn't know what to do in the future. He said that pretty much all the other farms were destroyed too.
I see an update to Sadhu's website that says more:

GOOD NEWS !
Since Raul said he was gonna be back the next day and didn't , I called him , he just got home now from a successful trip and will report his adventure later on today or tomorrow .
I had a dream about these seeds last night. In my dream each seed was numbered with a sharpie that corresponded to the pdf.
Hi, so, if we in the U.S.A want to order from E-Jardim, can we? Will the seeds arrive? I love the webpage but, since I don't speak Portuguese I'm a bit concerned. Any info would be appreciated. Best regards, Chris
I'm on my way to ilamas, I'm on the plane now.....
Are you suicidal or running away from your wife....LOL...For no amount of money I would go over-there and traveling in a bus at night !!!
