Mangoes that taste like Alphonso (have Alphonso flavor characteristics)

Hey TnTrobbie! So you don't think Julie has a piney characteristic to the flavor? IIRC, you are a big fan of Julie and have a fairly mature tree. How would you describe the flavor?

Hey Starch. I've read others describe Julie having a "pineapple-ish" flavor to it- which I can see a little. But its hard to describe as it's flavor profile (to me) as there is no other non-mango fruit flavor similar to it  . Definitely not acidic, citrussy, or sour/sweet.

Alex (Squam ) sold me a few last year and that mango along with Mekong , Val -Carrie , Psm , Brahm  Keu Mae ,Best ,Fairchild Cac or Coc mango will be bought in quite a few quantities by me if he has some this year !

Zafaran taste is more closer to Alphonso than any other mango.

The fruits are from BKM the St Maui is on a cocktail tree the growth is slow

In Florida, ST Maui is considerably vigorous. Its an excellent eating mango and fairly productive too.
