Fastest shipping from Brazil or Asia to US?
« on: July 15, 2017, 01:12:00 AM »
Is there a faster option for shipping seeds from Brazil or Asia to the US than the ridiculously slow post office routes?

I'm getting tired of waiting months, combined with the delay from USDA inspection, which results in a lot of dead seeds, of germinated seeds getting rejected. If there was a way to get them on a plane and in my hands in less than a week, that would result in a very high percentage of successful imports!

Joe , there's no fast way from Brazil since exporting seeds is not allowed otherwise they could use Fedex or similar . For Asia that's what I use .

There is a way to get them here in one day. Fly there and pick them up. HAHA But even then it's not so easy to clear customs. Best is to try to find the seeds already inside USA.

No seeds allowed out of Brazil period? Is there some kind of permit you have to apply for? Or just bribe the customs officials?

Technically it's not allowed, and most post offices in Brazil require you open the package before mailing out of country. But some clever vendors have found ways around it. But occasionally even their packages get confiscated.
Asia is no problem. Brazil is a big problem. From Asia you can have the vendor send via EMS and they will arrive within a week.
