Chok Anon aka miracle mango
« on: June 23, 2018, 08:09:12 PM »
How much of a “miracle” mango is it? I’m planning on grafting some rootstock I have into chok anon. I’m not really interested in taste just in terms of offseason production. So does it deliver? I really want to know. If it’s not worth it then I’ll just use the rootstock for some lemon merengue.

The off season reputation is not at all correct here in south Florida.

I've never heard of anyone who put chokanon in their top 20 in taste or production.  The 2nd crop never ripens well in the off season.
So your plan to top work with lemon meringue sounds reasonable and better.
