I'd recommend getting a tree instead. This year nurseries have good size and healthy tree at decent price. Got one from Mimosa LA for 60 and it is 5ft tall. Or you can grow from seeds but it may take 3 years to grow that high.

How is your Na Dai doing? I am pondering for one but not sure that it can survive Orange, CA winter and Santa Ana wind.

Mine lost leaves in the winter but new leaves are coming out. I grow them in pots to make it easier to move to a less windy and warmer areas in the winter.

Na Dai is just an atemoya.
It's not a sugar apple.
It retains full leaves over winter here.

That's not accurate. Na Dai is Sugar Apple in Vietnamese. Atemoya is a hybrid of Cherimoya and Sugar Apple.

Na Dai  is a sugar apple. The skin can be peeled off easily, unlike the Thai Lessadrd and other sugar apples.

I was given Na Dai scion.
ND fruits are small like Sugar Apple but not look like SA.
Leaves look like any other Atemoya.

My SA are mostly dormant.
My ND Is active.

Would you guys post ND leaves so I can’t compare?
