Try damp coir or peat moss after dipping in rooting hormone. I have not tried Loganberry, similar to boysenberry I hear.
Tayberry will not do well for you, and neither will Loganberry. I can only suggest people recommended these have never tried to grow them in the subtropics.I have. Basically what you'll get is extremely poor fruit set and an endless battle with leaf fungus. There is only one Rubus that does well in hot climates, and that is youngberry. Masses of berries every season.

Fruit are delicious ( I prefer them to regular raspberry) and their natural environment is the tropics. https://m.youtube.com/watch?autoplay=1&v=5ZCfE_EowJY
