Nam Doc Mai Seedling

Seedling from Nam Doc Mai (Or similar cultivar) this is its 2nd year flowering. Last year the fruit was great, soon Ill be able to share how fruit is this year.

I stopped by the Mother tree this afternoon. It had dropped most of its fruit already

Looking like a mostly September Mango, dropped 3 during August but the rest still holding

Congratulations, I love seeing seedling trees fruit. I’m also interested to hear if the seedling fruit is similar to the real NDM and if it also has very thin seeds like the real deal NDM.

Yes the taste is similar NDM, but size shape and ripening time seems different. Took five years to flower. This is its second year.

Last fruit on tree. Others were still holding but I decided to prune the height.

BTW , with that aggressive pruning job will you get fruit next year?

Anyway , congrats on your fruit from your seedling ... a mostly september fruiter ...seems like a winner!
