I got seeds at Trade Winds Fruit about two months ago. They all germinated and look very good.

I should have seeds available in 1-2 weeks. The seeds are very delicate, so if anyone wants them suggest express mail.

Raul, you should take that with a grain of salt. People in India also do not like avocado!

Raul,

Tradewindsfruit.com charges an arm and a leg for this species, but this seed is almost always germinating on arrival if not in transit! I have 4 trees now, only one seed did not make it after sowing.
I have read the fruit can be variable, but the shear number of nutrient and calorie dense fruit that a mature tree can produce is staggering. That and what Oscar said may be true about taste preferences, but also ADD some salt to the fruit and apparently they taste more like avocado!

Cheers!

Yes, thank guys, I think taste are subjective, or in Spanish "en gustos se rompen generos" I find it attractive as a source of calories, then I was disappointed when I knew it was dioecious, but talking with a lady member from Costa Rica she told me that trees fruit for her in 3 years only so that's not a lot of time, she also told me trees are not big and can be prune easy...
