Seedless chempedak

Just as a curiosity. I came across this article, where seedless chempedak is mentioned.

Never heard of seedless chempadek. That photo in the article certainly does not prove that it is seedless. A photo showing interior of arils would have been nice.

Seedless bulbs in chempedak are not usually swollen like those.Call me a skeptic.

I guess that journalist simply used wrong picture - they do not care too much usually. But I see no reason to fabricate the article at all, so seedless chempedak is most likely reality.

I tried one of those Seedless chempedak,It is not seedless. The seed has a cover but without Endosperm AKA dead seed.

Does this mean that seed is smaller and so aril is bigger?

No, I did cut the seed in half and found nothing. Just an empty seed shell.

I bought about 6 cempedak from a local Asian supermarket and all of them were seedless (just a seed coat).

OK then it seems like there is no advantage to that kind of seedless? Instead only a disadvantage because they can't be propagated?

I am growing a seedless macadamia and I'm sure that will be a good prospect. It will take longer to produce than a grafted one.

Most Artocarpus have no or reduced fleshy bulbs around poorly formed seeds/unfertilised capsules.
