Garcinia prainiana (cherapu/button mangosteen)

Hi,

Is this a correct picture of Garcinia prainiana (cherapu/button mangosteen)?



I also wonder if anyone knows how it taste and if you eat the skin too?

Looks right. Haven't tasted them yet, hope to this year. Warren (Fruitguy) has tasted them and liked them. As i recall he said they had a kind of tangerine taste? The peel is not eaten.
There is a section about them in Whitman's book 5 Decades with Tropical Fruits. He fruited them in Florida.

Thanks Oscar. I was glad to discover from that picture that the seeds are not clingy like G. madruno. I am not so fond of eating/sucking the fruit flesh around seeds.
