maybe best to wait until after the new year for shipping ??

seems like this holiday season is stressful for the postal workers, and delivery people!

Adam is right. He shipped me a box from Sanford to St. Pete and it 1st went to Naples.    :o

Do you know when you're going to be offering the new varieties of atemoya that our California brothers have developed?  Do you think you're ever going to carry Paxton Prolific or Tropic Sun from Australia?  How about Whitman Fiberless soursop?  Thanks!

I've started to realize the Annonas are tricky to keep up with...I suppose it has to do with the short window of opportunity for grafting.

this year I'm focusing mainly on the rare stuff, Genova red illama, and annona salzmannii are high on the list...also Big Red Sugar apple...(considering making some A. scleroderma)

I don't have many cherimoya or atemoya rootstocks lined up...so I will have very few grafted atemoya trees this year.

It maybe another 2yrs before I graft a considerable amount of atemoyas.

too many species to graft!

Adam,
I got your email, just responded.

Concerning the annonas. I could plant all the cherimoya seeds i get this year in those little plugs. Hopefully they will be ready to graft by 2017.
Next time I come up to Orlando I can drop them off, don't know how much that would help though.

thanks for the kind offer!

but I think there is a type of cherimoya that is best for FL...I have problems with delayed incompatibility, (or sudden death), when I use cherimoya for grafting atemoyas and sugar apples...and especially illamas.

I have been planning to graft onto atemoya seedlings (for atemoyas)...I think the dream might make a great rootstock, but have yet to test this out.

if i have them grafted, it won't be any cheaper!

I'm not even sure if I can get them to take, but I don't see why not...
I have some A. montana rootstocks lined up...I'm only going to make about 4 of the sclerodermas...the rest will probably be A. salzmannii.

have you guys tasted this fruit? Is it similar to the other annonas in taste? I'm working on getting an ilama too, haha.. I think that is a big difference in flavor.. I'm not sure of this one though.. I looked at the pictures and they look like the regular annonas (cherimoya/atemoya) and might not have a taste difference like rollinia or ilama..

nope, haven't tasted it...but Oscar said it was good IIRC and I believe Har has eluded to it (in prior posts) being one of the better annonas
