Nice beautiful leaves, this would make a grande estate tree to be enjoy for its landscape value beside the fruit. Must be quite a hardy neglect tree living to 200 plus years, we should replace all our whiteflies invested ficus in south florida with this beautiful tree. I hope it is hurricane resistant also for a full scale adoption in our area, especially tree less part of  Miami-Dade.

Moonshine = alcoholic drink.
Please remember people in other non-english speaking countries usually don't understand slang words.
FYI practically every fruit in Brazil seems to be made into some type of wine, liquor, or other alcoholic drink.

I thought moonshine drinks are usually made of the methanol instead of ethanol. Ethanol was illegal in 30s and that's why people went to the methanol for the recreational use but, in the end it caused eye damage and was very toxic.

I think we all agree that is al capone (made a fortune from alcohol ban) is a great cultivar name, don't you agree ?

Are you sure about methanol??? It is i extremely toxic, no chance to drink it without serious damage or death.

Any alcoholic drink processed from fruits or any natural substance does not have chance to contain Methanol
Only Ethanol is self fermented and synthetically produced methanol can be added externally to adulterate wine

Old meaning of moonshine was illegally made alcoholic drinks. Now the word is still used for any home made spirits. Don't think alcohol was ever illegal in Brazil, so not much meaning there.

Yes i know about prohibition days in USA. But the poster who made the comment about moonshine was replying to Ricardo, who is from Brazil, so not much meaning for him.
