I think Murahilin is guessing it's really an atemoya? And that's my guess also. Probably atemoya would be called green cherimoya in Cuba, where they seem to call all the annona species "chirimoya".
Here cherimoyas fruit fine above 1000 foot elevation. So if you could build a building 1000 feet tall, like in Dubai, and park the cherimoya on the top flower it might be happy and fruit.  ;)

Sorry Oscar, but not all Annona species are called Chirimoya in Cuba. A. squamosa is Anon, A. muricata is guanabana, A. reticulata is chirimoya roja, Atemoya is Atemoya, and A. cherimola is Chirmoya verde.

I am not saying they are a common occurance, but fruiting Cherimoyas do exist in Miami and the next time I see one I promise to take a picture.
