Buxton Spice Mango
« on: July 17, 2017, 07:26:24 PM »
Anyone growing this mango? Don't see any pics on the forum and no taste reviews, and remember back Excalibur was going to start propagating it like 2 years ago and now circling back.

I don't know what the grafted one taste like but I've eaten plenty from seedlings trees. (Seeds came directly from Guyana)
All the seedlings have the normal black/Buxton spice flavor and size.
I only see a difference in fiber content

I think Sheehan may be able to add to this.

As far as availability,  I believe Excalibur has propagated it and plants should be available.

I heard of one tree in the Tampa area that fruits twice a year quite reliably.
I haven't seen it personally though.
