It is common acidic acid.  Put on sticky taps it attracts Male (and female) psyillids and kills them.

We often employ a small bowl of apple cider vinegar and add a few drops of dish soap to trap and dispose of fruit flies in our kitchen.  Not sure about the connection with ACP, but an interesting parallel usage of acetic acid.

Seems like this kind of pherenome trap would be best way to deal with citrus greening. But is the psyllid really the only vector? And if it's the only vector why can't other insects carry it?

I saw another vector insect species some time ago but it's not talked about. Maybe it can't live outside wherever it's found?

It's probably the insect gut environment that allows certain microbes to survive. Like the mouth/saliva of borers that spread fungus from tree to tree.

How would you add the vinegar lure to a yellow sticky trap card?
