What mango is this???
« on: June 27, 2020, 12:49:33 PM »
Can you guys please help me out with these two mangos, what kind is it?

First one has a bumpy skin, red blush at the top and yellow blush at the bottom and tree is small.

Second is yellow and green, smooth skin, long shaped somewhat flat and tree is large.

Thanks guys!

Be very careful and mindful of what you sow, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Too me, it seems like a coconut cream and a diamond mango.

Have never tasted the CC, hopefully this is a CC!

If the first is Coco Cream, the tree would make it easy to identify.

There arent that many Diamond trees out there (few propagate it and poor fruit quality).

The first one is about 5 inches, the tree has some weird branches going down and it seems to be a dwarf or very slow grower.  Waiting for the fruit to fully ripe, it keeps on turning yellow.

The second one is about 8 inches, the taste was rather bland, fiber less, juicy, and a bit sweet.

That would be a very small coconut cream at only 5".

Unfortunately, with all the rain we've had a lot of mangoes will have a washed out flavor.

Getting pictures of the trees, showing growth habit, and the leaves may help identify the fruit.
