I posted this before and most people voted for black zapote . Here is the picture again this time with a black zapote leaf next to it . It's gotta be a fruit tree .... slow grower , less than 2 meters and close to 10 years old . New growth is red/pink.
Could it be the beach apricot? Mimusops sp.?

Oscar may be right, it looks similar to Mimusops zeyheri leaves. I have a seedling which looks similar glossy narrow leaves in the same pattern of what you posted.
