I just moved to Fort Lauderdale from Washington DC. I moved into a high rise located in downtown Fort Lauderdale. My balcony is facing due east and receives full sun from sunrise to 12ish. After 12 then it is shaded by the upper floors.
I just purchased a Meyer lemon and wondering if it will receive enough light. I have read some articles stating it needs at least 8 hours, while other articles stays 6 hours are enough.
Secondary question, the sun is a lot stronger down in southern Florida than it is in D.C. Is 6 hours of sunlight down here equivalent to more hours of sunlight than in a northern location. For instance 6 hours in Fl is the same as 8 hours in D.C?
