It looks nothing like any salacca that I have seen fruit-wise.  Also, all of the salacca palms that I have seen have very prominent thorns.  I don't know what this is, but I don't think it is salacca.

It looks nothing like any salacca that I have seen fruit-wise.  Also, all of the salacca palms that I have seen have very prominent thorns.  I don't know what this is, but I don't think it is salacca.

When this palm was young, the thorns was very prominent, but when growing , the thorns is not prominent, are short

I'm not quite sure but it looks like an oil palm, maybe Elaeis oleifera.

It's a salacca wallichiana female without spines. I'm sure because I have the same but male ! Do you want some pollens ?

Oh Ricibitar it's was a joke about pollen ! It would take too long time from Reunion Island to brazil but if you know how to conserve and send salacca pollen, Why not !
