Rambutan seed drink
« on: November 01, 2018, 10:03:59 PM »
Have you try this?

Treat diabetes
Method: wash and dried Rambutan seeds normally 4 - 6 seeds per time and mashed up into powder structure. Then added some water and drink it. Drink it 1 time a day.

The fruit has been employed in traditional medicine in Malaysia and Indonesia for hundreds of years as a treatment for diabetes, hypertension and various ailments. Besides the antioxidants obtained in its beta carotene and vitamin C, the rambutan pulp, seeds and skin have strong, plant based, antioxidants called flavonoids. Certain kinds of flavonoids are believed to reduce cholesterol and possess anti-cancerous, anti-inflammatory attributes.

Yes, Sunny, it does indeed appear that rambutan seed could be a very nutritious food with some possible medical benefits.

However, it looks like the seeds should be treated beforehand to remove bitterness and astringency, but reading that paper that looks pretty simple also.

. Immerse the seeds in whiting water for 1 hours, then wash with water and drain it. Drain the
seed up, then peel the seed if want to immediately use, and store in an airtight container if saving the
seed is desired

What is whiting water? I don't know....
