The bag price wasn't too bad its 25 cents a bag. Total cost per tree here is 1$ for pot, 1$ for soil, 3$ for micro sprinkler and poly tubing, 1$ for grafting tape, bags, mulch etc, 10$ per tree for deer fence for 400 trees.
Total cost is roughly 16$ per tree to plant an avocado tree all setup and watered automatic, protected from animals. I think this is doing things very efficiently. It would be interesting to see how much other farms are able to do this for, my guess is they spend much more.
