What's wrong with my seedlings?
« on: January 25, 2019, 07:46:11 AM »
Any idea what's going on with my potted Canistel and Surinam Cherry seedlings?

They were raised on a screen porch and were recently brought out into the sun. It also got cold and windy recently. Right now they're inside on account of the cold weather (I'm still in 9a).

So I'm thinking it's either sunburn, cold and wind, or a pest since being taken out of the screened porch (or a combination of these things).

Anyone know for sure? If so, what if anything can be done to keep them growing?

Thanks!

Normal sun burn first then cold damage. They'll survive. Keep them protected from the cold and slowly introduce them to sun when warmer weather comes (eg. morning only sun, to middday, etc etc, for 2-4 weeks at a time).

No where to plant it ...but at least I got it. ;)

That's sad to hear.

It is indeed sad to hear. Tragic, even. I tried to forget about it, and now you've revived this thread. Thanks.
