Couple things in the greenhouse
« on: April 03, 2012, 05:29:32 PM »
Actually been kind of boring lately.  Imbe's all seem to want to be male so they are currently not on my favorites list.

Here are a few flowers from a grafted lemon drop mangosteen obtained last year from Jardines Eneida in PR.  Goofy plant has never even produced a single flush until just now with the flowers.  I won't complain.  Will be really cool if at least one fruit sets.

Nam Doc Mai bananas

Multi-grafted cherimoya....Selma, Honey Hart, El Bumpo

Sugar apple

Very nice Jay glad to see your lemon drop is not a silk plant after all.  How are the achachairu, mangosteen and durian orchards doing in there?

Oh, interesting bananas! Never heard about Nam doc mai bananas, what kind of bananas are those?
Your greenhouse is awesome, btw.

Sorry Ger...done on the fly!  I've been quite lazy with the pic taking the last few months.

Ethan...yeah...really thought the stupid thing was more fake then alive.  The grafted achachairu flushes nicely often but no blooms yet.  I keep looking and encouraging to no avail.  I just did up a bunch of durian grafts over the weekend on some seedlings.  I believe the grafts to be very good...but that has not stopped them from failing in the past!  I'm holding back any hope and excitement.  They've been flushing some growth and the scions all had nice buds so everything was in a positive direction.  We'll see.

Pan...nam doc mai is a Thai dessert banana.  Small, very dense, very sweet and delicious.

Null...will try and take more pics soon.
