Soursop in Lake Worth, Fl
« on: May 11, 2014, 01:25:08 PM »
Here is a nice Soursop tree growing in my buddy's backyard, well, fell into his backyard. This tree was approx 15-20 feet last year before it bent over with fruit into this backyard. It's loaded with fruit and is pretty easy to eat out of hand. I tried some fruit off it last year, I'll try to send out some scions this year to couple forum members.

Yeah, I guess these are newer neighbors, of carribean decent, yet they didn't plant this tree, it was planted before they moved in. If you look to the rear of the tree in the pic there is also an avocado dumping into his yard. He told me he'd let me know when the soursop are ripening, as he doesn't care fore them…maybe you'll be in the area then...

That thing is loaded with fruit.  I thought mine was holding a lot, but that tree puts mine to shame.

I wait until they have some "give" when squeezed.  Then let them sit awhile.  I have found them much better when very soft.

Is the tree happy/healthy in that condition (not getting damaged by fence, et al)?

Hate to see a looker like that be on the wane.

Impressive that soursop can be grown in Lake Worth.
