Thanks,
Ed

Adam glad to see it finally flowering for you! I started most of those seeds around 2007 and gave you those seedlings in 2011 when we left Florida. Hope you set some fruit!

Answer from the vendor:

Yes, it is perforated.  There are 857 perforated pieces on that roll.  Each piece is about 1" wide and 2.75" long.

Anybody selling Buddy Tape?

I know folks are fruiting them in Central Florida and South Texas but most years both of those areas typically get some chill hours.

One problem the plant that fruits dies and new suckers come up so you no longer have the original plant. Then the cycle starts over! It will send suckers up around the base for new plants. The original part that fruited will slowly die back feeding the new plants. The suckers can fruit in the original pot you will  eventually remove the dead material from the original plant. If you have to many suckers in the original pot thin them out. I would only leave 2 or 3 suckers in the pot to start the new fruiting cycle.

Sweet Tea - disappointed
Cinnamon roll - disappointed
Favorite fig - disappointed

Just a few things that disappoint me after eating a couple more Lemon Zest mangos from Tropical Acres today. I definitely was not disappointed with the Lemon Zest mango! Definitely one of my favorite!

I find pawpaws one of the easiest plants to graft!

Ballpoint pen for size comparison.
I would get at least a 50% to 60%

Here's some 4 inch tall seedlings that I grafted.

How does it taste?

Does anyone know anybody who's ever eaten a Fantastic avocado? This tree is from Texas and so am I and I do not know of anyone who has eaten the fruit. So don't be tricked by a marketing name by plant sellers! Just my opinion!

Yes pawpaws are very easy to chip bud. I just prefer using the whip or cleft graft.

I recommend you plant them in their permanent location and put wire cages around them wrapped in shade cloth. About 2 to 3 feet tall cages and let them grow out of the shaded environment on their own . Also with the cage you can temporarily place a piece of fabric over the top till they adjust to their new environment.

Most require chill hours. I know of some in Central Florida and southern Louisiana that aref fruiting regularly with very minimal chill hours.

Some of my grafts
