I'm in torrance, california....
Ethan,
The sweetheart is fairly new....Purchased/planted about 4-5 months ago. Hopefully it will fruit for me in a year or two....

Torrance has great weather sunset zone 24 so you might able to succeed with sugar apples.

I love sugar apple. It is one of my childhood fruit. I bought one recently to try out. I want to get a caimito too.....hopefully able to locate a nice one later..

DNT - someday I'm going to taste a dragon fruit! Maybe JF is growing some that I don't know about or Ethan or Jacob or someone
that I will visit some day in the SoCal circuit of tropical fruity growers.....
They are such odd looking plants.....

A good dragon fruit is worthy of being on a top 5 fruit list. I would rank it up there with kiwis, plums, watermelon. Crossing my fingers I get some fruit this year, I tasted Rodney's Vietnamese Giant. It was excellent produced the fruit from cutting in 1 year time as well.
