Heya Ran I wish I had more seeds as due to weather and bug interference the tree had only one fruit this season and I have only one tree of this variety. I don't have enough to share with the people who have been waiting for them as quite a few locals having been asking for some for a long time.
Pink is a nice colour for a fruit but a fruit dropped off my red genova tree today that is an eye popper. Well its mother was red genova. The flesh is red with a purplish tinge but the pics made the flesh look red in the sun and purple in the shade when it was really in between. It did look a bit like beef. It had a great rich berry taste along with the Annona taste.
That reminds me that I spread around some Annonidiums about 8 years ago and wonder how they are going now. I heard about a fruiting tree around Mossman a while back. Unfortunately they are too far removed to ever be a part of ilama's family tree but suagr apples, atemoya and reticulata are close enough to ilama to cross.
