Title: Sandy saved this big bunch --- Goldfinger, FHIA 1
Post by: Bananimal on November 01, 2012, 08:16:44 AM
Sandy smacked the big Goldfinger around and snapped/shredded leaves but the bunch was saved from destruction.

Heaviest bunch so far off this 6 year old mat ---- 33 lbs.

Very nice! I recently got a Goldfinger plant. It is a very small in vitro plant, so I will keep it in a pot for a while. How would you rate the taste of this cultivar?

BTW, I also added French Horn and Ghew Kera to my collection :)

I rate the Goldfinger taste, FHIA-1, as one of the very best.  It's only drawback is being thin skinned which makes it tough for commercial production.  Very disease resistant also. My 2 best tasting naners are FHIA-1 and SH 3640, both from FHIA.
