Fresh fruit and seeds from Hawaii.  These fruits are a little bigger than a golf ball.  Good flesh to seed ratio.  Between 1-3 seeds per fruit.   Delicious fruit with a lemon head candy type taste but sweeter than lemon drop Mangosteen.  Seeds sprout easily and trees are hearty and do not require so much water like purple Mangosteen.   Def worth growing and fun to snack on.

Minimum order 10 seeds for $30.   Includes shipping.

Anything over 10 seeds is $2/seed.    Shipping is $7.

It looks like this fruit is called a number of different things.  Madrono.  Madrono. Charichuela.  Bacupari.   Who knows.   It it’s a garcinia and it tastes delicious.

G.madruno and G.acuminata appear to be the same thing without going back to original descriptions. G.acuminata may just be a form of G.madruno which seems to include smooth and fuzzy skin form. I think multiple common names would apply to both.

Officially they are two different species. FYI accespted name of G. acuminata is now G. elliptica.

In fact, there was a lot of disagreement among botanists about the exact name of this species.
The botanical classification system was formerly called Rheedia Acuminata, Rheedia Madruno, but now Rheedia is included in Garcinia.
Therefore, it is currently classified as Garcinia, Garcinia Acuminata and Garcinia Madruno, both of which are called Charichuelo.
The distinction between Acuminata and Madruno is distinguished by the shape of the fruit.
Madruno is circular in shape, and Acuminata is slightly elongated with a tail.

Garcinia Acuminata

Plenty of seeds left for those interested still.

Also I WILL NOT be shipping outside the USA unless you wanna order $100 or more in seeds. Sorry it’s waaaaaaay too much hassle for me.  Spent like an hour filling out customs declarations and negotiating over the counter at post office.    Not worth it for small orders.  Sorry for the inconvenience
