Odd off topic questions
« on: September 04, 2018, 10:16:12 PM »
I have been pressure cleaning my roof and I am not using any chemicals to get the roof mold / fungus off. When its done I am thinking of using a light mist of coppercide in the pressure  cleaner to kill the last of the stubborn hold out and wondered.

Since there are copper strips sold to inhibit roof growth, how an annual spray of coppercide might help keep the roof clean?

Anyone tried this?

Regards,

Bleach would probably help? I don't think copper fungicide would stick around for long. Maybe a couple of weeks max before the rain washes it away.

Copper is oxidizing you roof and the efficiency against mold and alrea is low.
Chloride will kill everything in 20 seconds, but very aggressive for your roof.
Ammonia can be used, but you need to reply often.
The most effective is zinc sulphate, it will still for a couple of weeks and kill the above mentioned.
